The new Permanent Secretary, in the Ministry of Business Trade and Cooperatives MBTC) , Barr(Mrs).F.N.Edokpolor, has called on staff to work together as one cohesive family during her maiden meeting with the ministry’s workforce.
She emphasized the importance of collaboration and assured staff of her open-door policy, while warning against backbiting and gossip.
Highlighting her leadership principles, she welcomed innovative ideas aimed at driving the ministry forward. However, she made it clear that she will not tolerate lateness, laziness, or lack of commitment. Stressing the value of multitasking, she encouraged staff to be proactive and versatile in their duties.
The Permanent Secretary also underscored the power of prayers, describing it as a key to unlocking closed doors and overcoming challenges.
Before her current appointment, she served as Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs. She succeeds Mrs. B.J. Igbinibaro, who is now the Permanent Secretary for Human Resources (Central Administration)Edo State Government House. .
